birthday spaghetti crazy

hay thank god... nafulfill ko na rin ang aking spaghetti craving

nung bday kasi nila ulo and juva, ako yung nagluto ng spaghetti -- naubos nang hindi ko man lang natitikman.

kaya eto nagluto ako ngayon.

namaltos pa ang kamay ko sa kakahiwa ng carrots pero it was worth it.

my birthday spaghetti recipe:
ground beef
carrots (finely chopped)
celery (separate stems and leaves -- chop both finely)
bell peppers (ganun din)
onions (ganun din)
garlic (dikdikin ng maigi sa almires -- para di ka na maghiwa)
1 can button mushrooms, sliced (don't throw away the water, pampalasa rin yun)
tomato paste
tomato sauce
basil (dried)
black pepper
salt
sugar
olive oil
parmesan cheese

saute onions and garlic in olive oil. pag transparent na yun onions, add ground beef. habang ginigisa, add a little pepper, a little basil and salt. this is your first level of flavor, kaya wag mag-OA sa paglagay. you can always adjust it later.
kapag luto na yung beef -- add tomato paste. mix well.
kapag na incorporate mo na ng mahusay ang tomato paste, add the carrots, bell peppers, and the chopped celery stems (we'll used the chopped celery leaves later). haluin ng mabuti.
add tomato sauce. add the water from the canned mushrooms, and a little more from the tap or wherever you get your water from (malay ko ba kung sa balon kayo kumukuha ng tubig). wag OA sa paglagay ng tubig, just enough para masimmer ang sauce.
simmer (don't boil) sauce until it thickens to desired consistency.
add salt, pepper and sugar to taste (di ako mahilig sa matamis na spaghetti -- pero housemates ko gusto sweet). add more basil. this is your second level of flavor.
simmer some more.
kapag feeling mo ok ka na -- add the button mushrooms.
then add some of the chopped celery leaves. this is your final, top flavor.
serve on spaghetti noodles (shempre). top with parmesan cheese. garnish with your reserve chopped celery leaves.
